Adult Formation

We believe learning and fellowship are essential ingredients for spiritual formation, and our church has a mission to provide opportunities for members to grow in Christ. In addition to offering occasional and seasonal sessions on special topics and interests, we offer the following regular opportunities for our members to learn about and share their faith and practices.

Sunday Morning Meditation at St. Peter’s is a time for people to come together to meditate. Following the reading of one of the spiritual masters or a passage from the Bible, the group will sit quietly, either reflecting on the passage read, or simply sit in silence for a brief period. Currently it is being held in St. Margaret Hall between 9:15 and 9:45 am on Sunday mornings, except over the summer.

Sunday Morning Bible Study is devoted to a deeper study of the Sunday Lessons. Those who are interested come together and study as a group, sharing insights from daily life and experience. One of the Clergy is always on hand to offer guidance and direction. Currently it is held in the Father Fifer Room between 9 and 9:45 am, except over the summer.

Mid-Week Bible Study and Fellowship. The group meets on Tuesday’s at 7 PM in the church, beginning with Eucharist, and followed by study class and refreshment. This informal setting is conducive to members discussing their faith and how it is lived in the context of their daily lives.
