At our annual parish meeting in February, there were drawings for two door prizes, to be won by those present. Highly typical of the generosity of St. Peter’s, the two winners donated their prizes to others. The first door prize was a $50 gift certificate to Liki Restaurant, a Japanese restaurant at 243 Schuykill Road, Phoenixville. It was won by Father Sam, who gave it to outgoing Vestry member Victor Jackson. The second door prize was a $50 gift certificate to Lowes or Home Depot. This was won by Karen Martz, who donated it to The Pantry. Gary Russell then assigned it to Mike O’Rourke, who has served The Pantry in many ways, including building and repairing with money out of his own pocket.
