“Christ in you the Hope of Glory.” A message from Fr. Sam.

A very happy and blessed new year to you and your loved ones.

I trust that you and your loved ones are enjoying these 12 days of Christmas and have had a glorious start to the year 2021.

Col 1:27 – “To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.”

For everything we plan to accomplish this year, at this point in our lives we have hope. We are hoping for a better year  than we had last year. We are hoping for fewer problems, more happiness, less stress, more peace, less bills, more money and the list goes on and on. Whatever your dreams are for 2021, it starts with hope.

A young Carpenter apprentice named Edward Mote soon after learning from Hyatt’s sermons that Jesus Christ could take away all the fears of life and give him the peace of heart and mind that he had long desired. One day while walking to his work, he began thinking that he should write a hymn.

My hope is built on nothing less, Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness
I dare not trust the sweetest frame, But wholly lean on Jesus’ name

On Christ the solid rock I stand, All other ground is sinking sand
All other ground is sinking sand.

For all that we pray and hope to accomplish this year, may your anchor be your Hope in Christ… It holds in the storms of life…

Continue to strengthen your home altars by praying together as a family and sharing the word of God. This practice will produce strong individuals.
