Good and Blessed Father’s day to all Dad’s and Father figures in our lives,
“Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.”
Is there something you are thankful to God for this morning? There are times in our lives when what we may be experiencing externally, sometimes overshadows the many blessings God has bestowed upon us. I pray that today will be a day when we can stop and look back and see the good and perfect gifts from God to us.
Thomas Obadiah Chisolm (1866-1960) wrote this poem to a friend who found the words so moving that he decided to compose a musical score to accompany the lyrics. Great is Thy Faithfulness was published in 1923.
Great is Thy faithfulness!
Great is Thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see.
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided;
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!
