NORRISTOWN, PA — Vaccination efforts have taken a dramatic positive turn in Montgomery County, as recent increases as doses enabled the county to open up pre- registration to the general public.

Anyone over the age of 16 is now eligible to sign up to receive the vaccine. This is slightly ahead of the statewide schedule, which opened up to more critical infrastructure workers in the 1C category on Monday.

At this point, order of registration will no longer determine when you receive your vaccine. “To ensure equitable access for all, vaccine appointments within phases will be released randomly, not by date registered,” according to the county’s announcement Monday morning.  Authorities continue to note that just because all are now eligible, does not mean appointments will be instantly available. The first individuals in 1B were inoculated in the county late last week.

Registration is available online via the county’s website, or by calling the county’s COVID-19 hotline at (833) 875-3967.
