For Our Collective Health and Safety
We are following closely the recommendations of the Chester County Health Department to minimize the threat of spread of the Covid-19 Virus. One recommendation is to adopt a policy of limiting personal contact or “social distancing” in order reduce the transmission of germs. In an abundance of caution, we will be suspending our coffee hour gatherings after the 10:00 service until further notice and assessment. It is a pleasant activity that we all enjoy, but our congregation’s health and safety must be our paramount concern.
Additionally, in order to avoid having large gatherings in the church, the volunteers at our lunch program will now provide “boxed lunches” for the patrons to carry out and take with them.
At the present time, the Saturday Pantry program will remain unchanged in order to provide vital food security for the patrons of the Pantry. Also, we plan to continue with the 7:00 service on Tuesday evening for Stations of the Cross and the Rosary.
We will continue to evaluate any changes that need to be made to other programs, such as Godly Play and Adult Bible Study, and will keep you informed.
As a reminder, our Health Department recommends: Stay home when you are sick, except to seek medical care; Avoid close contact with people who are sick; Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue and throw it away; Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds; Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces; Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth. Sincerely,
Judy Office St. Peter’s
