Parishioners and visitors entering the red front door of St Peter’s Church might now notice a difference in the garden beds on either side of the door.
That is because on Saturday, September 7th, the Gardening Team transplanted 2 boxwood bushes into the beds on either side of the church’s front door.
The boxwoods are the perfect size, filling the space but not blocking one’s view of the ‘1931’ cornerstone of the back wall of the right-hand bed.
Thank you to the transplanting team of Karen Reid, Judy Ripley, Robert Gauthier, Anne Andrews, and Bonnie Elliott.
This effort followed an evening weeding of the Cloister Garden on Wednesday, August 14th, by Donna Cleary, Anne & John Andrews, Karen Reid and Leo Guen.
This soiree was highlighted by ice cream at the nearby Browns Cow ice cream shop at 30 Main St. See photo gallery below
