With typical Scots frugality and thoughtfulness, Judy Ripley purchased a third crepe myrtle tree for the West Gardens to provide cover for an air conditioning condenser as well as to beautify and color balance the garden.
“It was only $85,” boasted Judy. Truly a good deal for a nealy 6-foot tall fuschia crepe myrtle, whose blossoms are similar in color to the 15-foot tall crepe myrtle near the side door ramp.
The debate where to site the third crepe myrtle took longer than the time to plant it, as it took only minutes for Judy, Karen, Robert and Leo to finish the job and take a photo on Thursday morning, Sept 12.
