Amici Strings was assembled two summers ago as a no-budget/no-pressure summertime ensemble by Alice Pavri, a violin, viola and piano teacher in Kimberton with contacts in the Main Line Orchestra, the Providence Chamber Orchestra (which she co-founded in 1998) and chamber musicians. It is made up of 23 local musicians who are playing just for fun and are not part of a concert series.
The Orchestra will perform: Four Seasons by Antonio Vivaldi; St. Paul’s Suite by Gustav Holst; Lullaby by George Gershwin and Libertango by Astor Piazzolla. Guest soloist for Four Seasons and St. Paul’s Suite will be Paul Roby of the Philadelphia Orchestra.
