Father Sam

“God is working His Purpose out.” A message from Father Sam.

Grace and Peace to you,

I pray that you and yours have been well safe and blessed… I am excited this morning even for the opportunity to serve Christ together with you all and for the opportunity of seeing all of you at 11:00am for our Virtual Coffee hour.

This morning i would like to share with you words to this old Anglican Hymn written in 1894 by Arthur Campbell Ainger as a tribute to the Archbishop of Canterbury, Edward White Benson.

In the midst of all we are facing always remember that, Almighty God is the Lord of history and He is working His purpose out even when we cannot fathom his ways.

God is working His purpose out, As year succeeds to year;
God is working his purpose out, And the time is drawing near;
Nearer and nearer draws the time, The time that shall surely be,
When the earth shall be filled with the glory of God as the waters cover the sea.

March we forth in the strength of God, With the banner of Christ unfurled,
That the light of the glorious Gospel of truth, May shine throughout the world;
Fight we the fight with sorrow and sin, To set their captives free,
That the earth may be filled with the glory of God as the waters cover the sea.

May our Wonderful God, use us as He chooses to spread His word and peace in the world, today and each day, in Jesus name. Amen.
