The People’s Light Theater will be presenting one performance of the one act play “Illuminating Bayard or Am I Not Good?” on Saturday, June 5, 2021 outdoors in our church parking lot. The play, with music, is an artistic representation of Civil Right movement mastermind and Chester County native Bayard Rustin. Rustin’s work and legacy as a chief organizer of the 1963 March on Washington and an openly gay Civil Rights activist is almost forgotten history. A panel discussion with local leaders, including Father Sam, on the topic of activism will follow the staged reading. Tickets are free but seating is limited.
