2022 Christmas – community charity – Kate’s Casa

For this Advent and Christmas season, the St. Peter’s Youth Group, again led by high school senior Emma Martz, chose Kate’s Casa as the local charity for parishioners to support.  This season’s goal was to provide 100 items of clothing and footwear for 25 children and teen immigrants, mainly from Central and South America.

This is the second Advent and Christmas season that the St. Peter’s Youth Group has chosen to support children and teens through Phoenixville charity Kate’s Casa.

It was great to see the enthusiastic, widespread involvement of so many families and individuals selecting tags specifying items to contribute and replacing the tags with a total of 100 white gift bows on the Christmas tree at the front of the church.

You can read more about Kate’s Casa mission, Kate’s story, and ways to support newcomer immigrant families, unaccompanied minors, and single moms, all of whom need basic items.
